Upcoming Boxing Schedule

Saturday, February 6 - Monterrey, Mexico lightweights:

Edwin Valero (26-0, 26 KOs) vs. Antonio Demarco (23-1-1, 17 KOs)
Fight will be televised on SHOWTIME.

We have a knockout artist in Edwin Valero which shows in his record 26 wins 26 KOs. He has heavy hands that move quickly he's a punishing type of fighter. Valero won the vacant WBC lightweight title last April and will be defending it for the second time.

Antonio Demarco is an intelligent boxer/puncher which was displayed in his last fight were he placed a hurting on Jose Alfaro (23-5 3 KOs). Demarco was able to get a TKO in the 10th round to win the opportunity to fight the WBC lightweight champion Valero.

Prediction: Now this one on paper is quite simple to workout. Demarco stands 5'10" with a reach of 72" compared to Valero who stands at 5'7" with a 69" reach. Demarco needs to use his god given attributes in order to keep Valero at bay. Stick the jab use the entire ring, his height, and circle away from Valero’s power. On the other hand, Valero needs to jab to get into the inside and absolutely destroy Demarco once he's there. If Valero places his focus on Demarcos slender body early then Demarco will fold. The later the fight goes on the advantage tips to Demarco for he gets stronger the deeper the fight goes. The winner will be Valero by KO in the 7th round. Valero is just to much in the prime of his career ready and willing to damage Demarco.
